Rep Shamsudeen Dambazau Resigns from APC, Aligns with ADC Movement

By Saheed Badmus

Hon. Shamsudeen Dambazau has formally announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking a significant step in his ongoing political journey and commitment to people-centered leadership.

The decision, according to Hon. Dambazau, follows careful reflection and extensive consultations with key stakeholders and supporters. He emphasized that his action is driven by a steadfast belief that leadership must prioritize the welfare, voices, and aspirations of the people above all else.

“At this critical point, it has become necessary to embrace a new direction, one that is disciplined, inclusive, and strategically positioned to deliver meaningful progress for our communities,” he stated.

Hon. Dambazau who represented
Takai/Sumaila Federal Constituency in the 9th Assembly confirmed that he is now aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the leadership of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He described the move as a deliberate ideological shift toward a platform that promotes grassroots empowerment, social justice, and structured development.

“This is not just a change of party affiliation,” he added. “It is a conscious alignment with a vision that offers a credible and forward-looking pathway to better serve the people and advance the collective interests of our constituency.”

He expressed deep appreciation to his constituents, supporters, and political associates for their continued trust and loyalty, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to their welfare and progress.

Hon. Dambazau also called for calm and unity among supporters, urging them to remain engaged and focused as the next phase of the journey unfolds.

“The journey continues—with clarity, purpose, and renewed determination,” he concluded.
