The Alhaji Abdul-Rasaq Ajijola Islamic Foundation has announced plans to hold its 2026 Annual Ramadan Lecture in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, today.

The event, organised in loving memory of Alhaji Soliu Ajijola and Alhaja Toibat Ajijola, is scheduled to take place today Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at No. 4 Alhaja Toibat Ajijola Lane, CAC Onipako, Mofere, Ado-Ekiti.

Alhaji Soliu Ajijola, whose memory the lecture seeks to honour, was a renowned Islamic scholar during his lifetime.

Many prominent Imams and Alfas were said to have passed through his tutelage, including the late President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas of South-Western Nigeria, Sheikh Qazeem Yayi Akorede, among several others.

According to the organisers, the lecture is aimed at promoting spiritual reflection, Islamic teachings and community unity during the holy month of Ramadan.

A former senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Babafemi Ojudu, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the event.

The Spiritual Father of the programme is
President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas for the South-West, Edo and Delta states, Muhammad Jamiu Kewulere Bello.

The Royal Father of the Day will be the Olosan of Osan-Ekiti,
Oba Tajudeen Bamidele Jimoh, while the lecture will be delivered by an Islamic scholar, Sheik Abdul Rasheed Ase Olorun.

The event will be hosted by Alhaja Wasilat Olaseni (née Akinola), while Alhaji Abdul-Mojeed Ajijola will serve as the Chief Host.

Organisers said the programme is open to members of the public, urging residents and the Muslim faithful to attend the lecture for spiritual enrichment and prayers during the Ramadan season.
