Lt.-Gen. Lagbaja’s Remains Arrives Abuja For State Burial

The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has arrived Abuja from Lagos, for state burial.

The body departed Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, aboard NAF918 at about 10:14 a.m. on Thursday.

President Bola Tinubu had ordered a state burial for the late COAS who died of an illness illness in Lagos, on November 5, 2024.

Lagbaja was born on February 28, 1968. He got his appointment as Chief of Army Staff on June 19, 2023, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Lagbaja’s body is scheduled to be buried at the National Military Cemetery on Friday November 15, 2024.
