Non-indigenes Renewed Hope Ambassador visits Ondo Police Commissioner, seeks security, collaboration

By Kunle Michael

The new Commissioner of Police in Ondo State Mr. Felix Ohagwu on Monday, 15th, received the Renewed Hope Ambassador for Non-Indigenes, who visited to discuss areas of cooperation in enhancing security across the state.

The Police Commissioner, while receiving the delegation, appreciated the visit, describing it as a “beautiful reunion” with his family in Ondo State.

He further noted that the engagement was the best visit he had received since assuming duty in the state.

During the meeting, both parties discussed and agreed on the need for collaboration in intelligence gathering and security operations.

The Commissioner also expressed readiness to work with the group in synergy with local hunters as a civilian joint task force, leveraging their knowledge of the terrain to address criminal activities in all forms.

The delegation, which comprised representatives from 11 communities with about 24 members in attendance, also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting security efforts in the state.

The State Woman Leader, Ambassador Grace, offered prayers for the Commissioner before the delegation departed to their various destinations.

According to the group, plans are already underway to extend similar courtesy visits to the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Brigade Commander, and the Amotekun Corps Commander.

The delegation was led by the State Ambassador, Alhaji Abdulkadri Adinoyi.
