Nasarawa Eggon, the Headquarters of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government of Nasarawa State, was today agog as Alhaji Halilu Envulanza, former Registrar National Judicial Council (NJC), gave out his daughter Hassana Halilu, in marriage to Muhammed, son of Maj. Gen Abdulmalik Halidu-Giwa (Rtd).

The wedding fatiha which took place at the residence of the bride’s father was conducted by the Chief Imam of Nasarawa Eggon Central Mosque, Sheikh Jibrin Yusuf Danladi, who pronounced them as husband and wife having fulfilled all the marital conditions including the payment of N100,000.as dowry.

The chief Imam, who prayed for enduring love between the newly wedded couple, also prayed God to bless them with the fruit of the womb.

On his part, the representative of the father of the groom, Major Gen. Ahmed Sani Jibrin, confirmed that they on behalf of his son paid all the necessary dues.

The Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi A Sule, who stood in for the father of the bride, admitted that everything concerning the matrimonial rights were duly paid by the parents of the groom.

He used the occasion to call on newly wedded couple to be faithful to one another and not allow third party into their union.

Dignitaries at the occasion includes, APC National Chairman Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr Emmanuel Akabe and Sen. Umar Tanko Almakura, former governor of Nasarawa State, who also wished the couple a blessed home.

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi led other lawmakers while the Emir of Lafia justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Rtd) led other traditional rulers to the event that also had in attendance the Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC) Ahmed Abubakar Audi, among other top personalities.

Praise singers were also not left out as they added colours to the event.
