The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared a 31-year-old Imo State indigene, Victoria Nwachukwu, wanted over allegations of conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretence and fraudulent diversion of funds.
The commission, in a statement by its spokesman, Dele Oyewale, said Nwachukwu, an indigene of Imo State, is associated with Oasis Vivacity Global Limited and is being sought in connection with the alleged financial offences.
According to the EFCC, her last known address is House 3, Millennium Estate, Alhaji Gbenga Ashafa Street, Gbagada, Lagos State.
The anti-graft agency appealed to members of the public with credible information about her whereabouts to assist investigators in locating her.
The EFCC said relevant information could be reported at any of its offices across the country, including those in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt and Abuja.
Members of the public may also provide information through the commission’s designated telephone and electronic channels, or report to the nearest police station or other appropriate security agency.
The development underscores the EFCC’s continuing efforts to investigate alleged financial crimes and trace persons suspected of involvement in fraudulent activities.
Oyewale urged anyone with useful and verifiable information on Nwachukwu’s whereabouts to contact the appropriate authorities and assist the ongoing investigation.
The commission, however, noted that being declared wanted in connection with an investigation does not amount to a conviction, as the allegations remain subject to due legal process.
