ONDO NUJ ELECTION 2025: PRINCE ‘LEKE ADEGBITE PICKS NOMINATION FORM, PROMISES MORE COMMITMENT TO MEMBERS’ WELFARE

Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo state council in their number on Tuesday joined Prince Leke Adegbite the incumbent chairman,   to pick his nomination form for a re-election into the same office in the forthcoming election of the council.

Picking the nomination form at the NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka Akure, Prince Adegbite reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the welfare and professional development of journalists in the state.

Adegbite, a senior journalist with Radio Nigeria expressed his unwavering dedication to advancing the union with his campaign slogan, “The Greater Height.”

Other candidates who also picked their nomination forms were the current secretary, Mr. Meshach Olaoluwa of the State Information Chapel, vying for the position of Secretary and Mrs. Maria Famakinwa of The Hope Newspaper, contesting for the position of Treasurer.

Speaking with journalists after the event, the Secretary of the NUJ Election Committee (NUJECO), Mrs. Augustina Okinedo, confirmed that the sale of nomination forms would close on March 12, 2025, while the election is scheduled for April 8, 2025.
