INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: HAJIYA WADADA CONGRATULATES NWAP, LAUDS THEIR COMMITMENTS TO FOOD SECURITY.
The Wife of the Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial district who also doubles as the Chairperson, Agriculture Committee of the Tenth Senators Wives forum, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has Congratulated the Nigerian Wowen for Agricultural Progress,(NWAP) on the Occasion of the International Women’s day Celebration 2024.
In a Statement made available to the Ebony Herald international magazine on-line, at the 1st States Coordinators Inauguration,(36 States and the Federal Capital Territory, fct) and a Ceremony to Mark the 2024 International Women’s Day,held at the auditorium of the National Merit Award House, Maitama Abuja, Thursday March 7,2024, Zainab Wadada applauded the Nigerian Wowen for Agricultural Progress, NWAP for their dedication and unwavering Commitments to the realization of the Association’s set objectives and their efforts towards ensuring food Security in the Nation and also Changing the Narratives in the Agricultural Sector.
She further pointed out that, as the Chairperson Agriculture Committee of the tenth Senate Wives forum,she decided to physically attend the Ceremony inspites of other issues and activities begging for her presence,noting that, the Seriousness, determination and Strive demostrated by members which Culminated to their Coming together to Chat a Course that would translate to empowerment, Self-reliance and positive impact in their lives individually and Collectively is highly Commendable.
In her words,” honestly it’s very impressive,I was supposed to go on a trip today because I lost a family member, but I felt so bold to be here, I know some of the Coordinators and planners,so I am here to Support and encourage them, because seeing them trying to bring women in to Agriculture is a good thing and highly encouraging”.
Reacting to questions from Journalists on what would be her Call to Government, Considering how the Spate of insecurity has greatly affected agricultural activities in the Country, She added that her Call was not going to be different from the Calls in which other well-meaning Nigerians has made in the past,She however Called on the the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Government to ensure the security of lives and Property, particularly Agricultural farmlands, so that Agricultural activities Could thrive.
