EFCC Investigates Bribery Allegations Involving Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into allegations that some of its officers received N15 million from Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to dismiss money laundering charges against him.

Bobrisky, an ex-convict, claimed in a viral video that unnamed EFCC officers collected the sum to drop the charges.

The video was shared by social activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has ordered an immediate investigation and constituted a team of investigators to critically examine the allegations.

Both Okuneye and Otse have been invited to the EFCC’s Lagos Directorate to assist investigators.

“The EFCC wishes to assure the public that the allegations would be thoroughly investigated and the result of the findings made public accordingly.

The Commission is committed to its core values of integrity, courage, professionalism and collaboration at all times,” said Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity at the EFCC
