Yenagoa the capital city of Bayelsa State was yesterday thrown into pandemonium after a commercial tricyclist rider popular known as Keke stabbed a community youth to death and was also lynched to death by angry youth.

After the killings, angry youths took to the street and started burning trycycles and as at the time of this report no fewer than ten trycycles have been burnt down completely.

The incident which occurred at Yenezue-Epie Community affected vehicler movement as the popular Mbiama/Yenagoa road was blocked which made vehicles to take alternative route.

An eyewitness,Mrs Peace Onuebum who explained to Ebony Herald International Magazine at the scene of the incident, said that “Am still in shocked of what happened it was a little disagreement of #50 between the keke man and his passenger”

Before we know what is happening they started fighting themselves as they were fighting the Keke man went into his Keke and brought a knife suspected to be poisonous and stabbed this boy on the lap and the boy started bleeding profusely unfortunately as helpers were rushing him to the hospital he died.

The death of the boy caused a mob action and the Keke man was hit with various objects that lead to the Keke’s man death” she said.

It was further gathered that the community youth is a native of Yenezue-Epie where the incident occurred though an Abuja base who only returned home few days ago to see his parents and unfortunately met his untimely death and he’s a father of three children.

The Bayelsa Police Command in a statement by is Public Relation Officer,Asinim Butswat Condemn the murder of the Community Youth, appeals for calm.

The statement reads”The Bayelsa State Police Command has deployed Anti Riot squad to restore normalcy at Kpansia and environs, over the unfortunate murder of a community youth by a tricycle rider.

The youth was allegedly stabbed to death by the tricycle rider over a minor disagreement.

The Command condemned the action of the tricycle rider, who was also lynched to death by irate youths and appeal to members of the community to be calm.
